Micro Doses = Massive Impact: Roll Call Training for Patrol Excellence
Friday 04 Dec / 4:00 PM / Chief of Police, Town of Colonie, New York
The session
In September 2025, the Colonie Police Department replaced conventional roll call with a 13-week micro-dosing program: 15-to-20-minute training modules delivered inside daily patrol briefings. Chief Gerace runs the room through a live micro-dose exactly as delivered at roll call, including a rapid tactical decision game with volunteers in the hot seat. He then presents the Finn Institute’s evaluation findings: measured gains in knowledge retention, movement from needs-improvement to mastery in life-saving procedures, and increased decision-making confidence among less-experienced officers. Attendees leave with the program schedule and implementation suggestions.
